I believe they're in the 'Vault' category although I may be mistaken.Ħ) I guess nobody will ever be satisfied with immersion in a game like Fallout 4, people are always left wanting more and I guess there's nothing you can do about that. I do know that the items from the tests should still be in your workshop just not under the 'Special' category they were first under.

Maybe you have a mod that is making it darker?ģ) Sick of unscrapable items being in your way? Download the Scrap Fallout mod and this should take care of most of your problems.Ĥ) I agree, they really missed a great opportunity to add lifts with this DLC.ĥ) I haven't even touched the experiments much so I don't really have an opinion on that aspect of vault building. Can see myself spending time above ground doing what I've always done in FO4 rather than in Vault 88 with 22 people riding bikes or playing slot machines.Ĭlick to expand.1) You can use the vault structures anywhere you have a settlement, therefore you can build a vault anywhere in Fallout 4.Ģ) Sounds like a problem with your monitor/tv screen, I can see my screen perfectly fine and have no problem with the brightness inside Vault 88. always open? And presumably the settlers (armed with Road Leathers and Pipe Pistols) that arrive have to battle through the same Raiders that always spawn at Quincy Quarries before getting to the Vault itself? And presumably those same Raiders outside will always be at the door with complete ease of access to the settlers? By the way, those 4 'tests' have disappeared from my Workshop menu. Something, you know, a little bit more sadistic, maybe? No matter how many times I make somebody pedal a bike, it doesn't make me feel like Ariel Castro. Or even the Hallucigen Building concept where the drugs are making the Gunners kill each other. Not exactly Josef Mengele: Live at Auschwitz, is it? Not entirely sure what I was expecting from this but maybe the concept of turning people into Super Mutants would have been pretty cool. This 'What kind of Overseer are you?' - well, presumably, one who's sadistic enough to get the 1 or 2 settlers that arrive every couple of hours to pedal on a bike, take eye tests, become gambling addicts or drink from a spiked soda fountain. What? So a Domestic Hallway will not connect to a Domestic Common Room Wall Doorway? And where the hell are the ceilings in the 'Structures' menu? that might work if only they clipped together. I want a Hallway that links to another Hallway that links to another room that links to a Hallway that links to a room. I don't want a Hallway that leads into a cave. Why not incoprorate the walls into the Vault structure? Because this is a Vault. A little help from Bethesda beforehand - maybe pre-existing structures to clip other structures to would have been better than just empty caverns that leave rocks that can't be built over with adjoining structures. I've tried building a handful of things inside the tunnels only to find that I can't get 'that corner' where it needs to be due to the fact there's a limestone wall protruding by maybe a couple of inches where the Vault wall needs to go, and this has happened to me a lot when building inside there. I'd have hoped for some kind of 'Landscaping mode' where rugged walls can be moved or mined so as to allow for Square walls, and perfectly 'flush' Structures. This is more like building Little Lamplight (if you remember it from Fallout 3). Building a Vault - this isn't building Vault 81. It doesn't help that the Vault floors are black either. The main 'Atrium' point in the Vault itself is vast, and it's incredibly difficult to see from one end to the other and the floor to the ceilling.

Underground (or like the Mechanist's Lair), I'm there looking to see what works where and I just can't work it out down here.

This is going to be a 'Night time' build for me when I can actually see my TV screen although I can see myself having issues with a build there too. The space you're given inside it is great but getting around it in the dark is a god damn nightmare. If Rasputin were a settlement, he'd be Vault 88. I know there exists a mod where you can build a Vault at most of the settlements anyway, and with the addition of the Vault category in the 'Structures' menu, it will be possible finally to do something with Hangman's Alley, but I would like that to be a vanilla option rather than a mod purely because I'm already at my 2GB allowance on the Xbox One. You can't for instance build a vault in an existing settlement - Vault 88 is it.

Usually I'm one for the idea of building - pretty much all of my mods are build oriented - but I really, really dislike this DLC and it's potential.
